Traditions
The Warrior Traditions program celebrates students who engage in campus traditions and activities. It is easy to participate and there are incentives to participate. The process to receive incentives is super easy. Step 1 – take a photo of yourself completing traditions. Step 2- create a word doc of your photos. Step 3 – fill out the traditions form and attach your word doc that shows the traditions you have completed. The Traditions Team will look over your submission and let you know where to pick up your Traditions swag. What are the incentives?
- 5 – complete 5 traditions for an exclusive durable hydro sticker
- 15 – complete 15 traditions for Indiana Tech Traditions socks
- 30+ – complete all 30 traditions for a reversible bucket hat
A little extra!! Earn a 40 oz Traditions Stanley Water Mug by starting a new tradition that gets added to the official Traditions list by OSE and Alumni Relations.

Attend Spring Bling Fling
Celebrate the end of the academic year at Indiana Tech’s Spring Bling Fling! This vibrant event features live music, fun games, and tasty food, marking the season’s transition with festive spirit. As part of the Tradition Keeper program, attending Spring Bling Fling is a key tradition that earns you points on your scorecard. Attend Friends & Family Weekend
Celebrate Homecoming at Indiana Tech with alumni, family, friends, students, faculty, and staff! Enjoy a weekend full of exciting events, including campus tours, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and a Hockey Indoor Tailgate Party. Highlights include the Athletic Hall of Fame Brunch, Lacrosse Tailgate, Party on the Square with a kid zone, and the Alumni Reunion and Awards Luncheon. Attend the Homecoming Hockey Game
Gear up for a thrilling evening at the Homecoming Hockey Game! Join the Hockey Indoor Tailgate at the SportsONE Ice House. Wear your orange and pick up your homecoming t-shirt while you mingle. Watch the Men’s Hockey Game from above or join the roaring crowd at ice level—it’s the season’s biggest Orange Out, complete with cowbells and electrifying excitement. Students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends are all welcome to cheer on our Warriors!
Show your school pride on Tech Spirit Days
Celebrate Tech Spirit Days by sporting your Indiana Tech gear each Friday! Wear your favorite Tech apparel to showcase your school pride and join in the weekly display of Warrior spirit. It’s a great way to connect with fellow students, faculty, and staff while representing our vibrant campus community.
Attend an orange out/Themed athletic event
Join the excitement of an Orange Out or themed athletic event at Indiana Tech! Wear your school colors proudly and support our Warriors at a game different from your own sport. Support Crush Hunger
Get involved in the fight against hunger by supporting Crush Hunger! Indiana Tech is competing with eight other colleges and universities to raise food and funds for Community Harvest Food Bank. Help us reach the community goal of 125,000 pounds by donating canned goods and funds. Your contributions will support our school’s effort to bring home the traveling trophy and make a significant impact on local hunger relief.
Attend Thanksgiving Lunch
Join President Karl Einolf, First Mom Maria Einolf, and the vice presidents of Indiana Tech for a festive Thanksgiving lunch in Andorfer Commons. Gather with students, faculty, and staff to share in the joy of the season and enjoy a delicious meal together. Attend a Speaker Series Event
Join us for a Tech Talks event, where top leaders share their industry insights and career lessons. This free forum provides valuable and inspirational guidance to help you succeed. Celebrate Holi, the vibrant Festival of Colors, with us on campus! Join in for a cultural show, Indian food tasting, and a colorful throw party. Participate in Walk a Mile in Her Shoes
Raising awareness for Sexual Assult and Abuse, the event is hosted at Indiana Tech involving information on what it is as well as how to be aware of signs of abuse. A guest speak comes to campus as well as local resources to help victims, counseling services are present as well as a 1 mile walk in red stilletos.

Headwaters Park is located in central downtown Fort Wayne. Every year in December it is transformed into an outdoor ice skating rink until mid-January.

Attend the Johnny Appleseed Festival
Originally from Massachusetts, John traveled ahead of the migration and established apple orchards and then sold the trees and sometimes orchards to the settlers. John Chapman’s final resting place is in Fort Wayne, because while here, he contracted pneumonia and passed away. You can pay respect to John Chapman at his grave site located along the St. Joseph River at Johnny Appleseed Park.

We recognize that online students may have unique opportunities to engage with Warrior Traditions, and we’ve tailored options to ensure you can participate and earn rewards! Online students are still eligible to participate in traditional activities and events held in Fort Wayne, which can also count toward their list. Here’s how it works for online students:
Step 1: Complete one of the 13 available online student traditions or attend a traditional or Fort Wayne-based activity.
Step 2: Take a photo or screenshot of your participation.
Step 3: Follow the same submission process: create a Word document with your photos and fill out the traditions form.
