Intramural Policies

If you’re planning on participating in any of our intramurals, we ask that you familiarize yourself with the policy information below.

Code of Conduct

All students who participate in intramurals are expected to act in a mature and responsible manner, both on and off campus. Individuals and teams may face disciplinary action for inappropriate behavior while participating in an intramural event on or off campus. All students are expected to treat all other participants, referees, directors, equipment, and facilities with respect. Any damage to equipment or facilities could result in the possibility of prosecution or charges for damages that are caused.

Remember, participating in intramurals is a privilege, not a right. Privileges can be revoked or taken away. Students must follow the student handbook at all times when participating in intramurals.

Employment

Are you interested in working in sports and need a résumé builder? If so, you are invited to apply to be a part of the intramural staff! Help in the areas of marketing, promotion, refereeing, and general set up is needed throughout the entire year.

There are many benefits when working with the intramural staff. For starters, the intramural staff offers a two-three paid positions. Students can work five to fifteen hours a week on a very flexible schedule. Another perk to being on this elite staff is the opportunity for on-hand field experience. Some professors may consider the work you do with intramurals as credit toward classes.

Feedback

We are always looking for ways to improve and expand our program. If you have had a positive or negative experience with our department, please let us know. Not only is it our goal to provide a fun and energetic atmosphere for students, but we also want input and ideas for activities to keep up with student interests.
