Welcome Week

Welcome Home, Warriors! Welcome Week is our opportunity to celebrate the start of a new academic year and your opportunity to meet new friends or get reacquainted with old ones. The Office of Student Engagement has so many different events planned that you’re sure to find something you’ll enjoy. Some of the events listed below required advanced signup due to limited capacity. You can find more details and secure your spot on the Commons 803 website or the CORQ app!

Mission Improvable (Multi-flex Theater, 7:30 p.m.)

  • The agents of MISSION IMPROVable Comedy Team are just a few audience suggestions away from creating a brand new and original production that’s all about whatever you tell them! This fast-paced and exciting new form of comedy is a combination of MTV’s “Wild ‘N Out” and “Who’s Line is it Anyway?” – but there is a bit of a twist. Just like in the old TV series “Mission Impossible,” the Chicagoan actors in Mission IMPROVable pretend to be agents. The audience members are the co-agents and participate in the hilarious theater games or “missions” by yelling out suggestions. The on-the-spot randomness provided by the audience makes each mission truly unique and very often hysterical. This new improvisational comedy troupe, Mission IMPROVable, is infectious and hot!

Campus-wide Capture the Flag (Meet by the Firepit, 8:30 p.m.)

  • Meet outside by the firepit for our annual game of capture the flag! Participants will be divided into two large teams that will square off as the sun sets to see who comes out as victors. Face paint and camouflaged apparel is encouraged!

As things wind down, sit down with new friends-to-be for a few rounds of speed-friending.
